Strain characteristics of pressure sensors
The pressure sensor has a measuring range that is twice as large as an inductive sensor. Not only can metal targets be detected, but also dielectrics such as paper, glass, wood and plastic, and even wall or paper. There are also trembling measurements and burglar alarms for humans, since the human body is equivalent to an electrical conductor at low frequencies.
When measuring the strain of the component, the strain gauge is directly attached to the component. If you want to measure signals such as force, pressure, acceleration, etc., you should first convert these physical quantities into strain and then measure with strain gauges. There is one more conversion process than when it is directly measured. This conversion is called an elastic original.
Therefore, strain gauge sensors are usually composed of two parts, an elastic sensitive element and a strain gauge.
The elastic sensitive original is the core component of the sensor, requiring elastic originals and high elastic energy storage. Usually expressed as the ability of an elastic material to store deformation work without permanent deformation.
The pressure sensor has good mechanical processing and heat treatment properties, as well as strong compressive strength and low temperature influence.
Proper selection of elastic sensitive components and strain gage bridges is an important way to improve strain gauge sensors:
1. Measurement range is high in light accuracy
The load cell can measure the force of 0.01--1000000N, and the precision can reach 0.05% FS or more; the pressure sensor can measure the pressure of 0.1-1000000, and the precision can reach 0.1%FS.
2, reliable performance, long life
For example, weighing mechanical levers, because of the leverage, the knife edge and other parts, friction and deformation caused by mutual friction, it is quite difficult to maintain its accuracy for a long time.
The electric resistance pump type load cell is used to make an electronic pump, a truck scale, a railway scale, etc., which can work stably for a long time under harsh environmental conditions.
3, excellent frequency response characteristics
The pressure sensor is generally a resistance strain gauge with a response time of 0.01 MS. The semiconductor strain gage can reach 0.001MS. If the measures can be taken on the elastic original, the strain gauge sensor composed of them can measure the dynamic process of several tens of kilohertz or even hundreds of kilohertz.
